Self-Management BC
Self-Management BC provides support for people living with chronic diseases such as diabetes, chronic pain, cancer, heart, kidney and lung diseases, arthritis, lupus, Parkinson, MS, etc. We offer:
- COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS (Diabetes, Chronic Pain, Chronic Conditions, Cancer: Thriving & Surviving) that are led by peer leaders and run for 2.5 hours for 6 weeks.
- HEALCH COACH PROGRAM that involves volunteer health coaches providing weekly 30 minutes telephone coaching for 3 – 6 months for individuals wanting to improve their confidence and motivation to become healthier. Individuals are paired with coaches based on gender and possibly shared chronic conditions.
- ONLINE WORKSHOPS (Chronic Conditions) that are flexible, self-paced, available 24/7. more info
Therapeutic Yoga
Therapeutic Yoga at Alongside You provides individualized yoga programs for clients that may struggle with traditional yoga environments due to chronic mental or physical health conditions, trauma, or otherwise. more info
