Cancer: Thriving and Surviving Self-Management Workshop
Cancer: Thriving & Surviving is a self-management program designed for people who have completed treatment and are living with or have been affected by cancer. Classes are highly participatory, where mutual support and success build the participants’ confidence in their ability to manage their health and maintain active and fulfilling lives. Chronic Pain Self-Management Program
Free workshop teaches skills to manage daily challenges of living with chronic pain. Ways to manage pain, deal with difficult emotions, exercise safely, set goals, make decisions and work with health care professionals are some of the topics discussed in an interactive format with trained peer leaders. All participants receive the reference book "Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Pain" at no cost. Persons living with chronic pain and their caregivers are welcome to attend. All new patients must register on Health Connect, the provincial government waitlist for family doctors in BC. Please see the link above.
If you are already registered on Fetch you will be contacted when a family physician becomes available; you will not lose your place on the waitlist.
