Self-Management BC
Self-Management BC provides support for people living with chronic diseases such as diabetes, chronic pain, cancer, heart, kidney and lung diseases, arthritis, lupus, Parkinson, MS, etc. We offer:
- COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS (Diabetes, Chronic Pain, Chronic Conditions, Cancer: Thriving & Surviving) that are led by peer leaders and run for 2.5 hours for 6 weeks.
- HEALCH COACH PROGRAM that involves volunteer health coaches providing weekly 30 minutes telephone coaching for 3 – 6 months for individuals wanting to improve their confidence and motivation to become healthier. Individuals are paired with coaches based on gender and possibly shared chronic conditions.
- ONLINE WORKSHOPS (Chronic Conditions) that are flexible, self-paced, available 24/7. more info
Travel Treatment Fund
Limited, short-term financial assistance to cover a portion of cancer-related transportation and accommodation expenses.more info
Wig & Breast Prosthesis Banks
Offering a wide range of donated wigs, headwear, permanent prostheses, and bras to cancer patients throughout BC who have undergone surgery and cannot afford the cost of a wig or prosthesis.more info

The Division is no longer accepting new patients for registration on Fetch, our patient wailist for a family physician.
All new patients must register on Health Connect, the provincial government waitlist for family doctors in BC. Please see the link above.
If you are already registered on Fetch you will be contacted when a family physician becomes available; you will not lose your place on the waitlist.
