Chronic Pain Self-Management Program
Free workshop teaches skills to manage daily challenges of living with chronic pain. Ways to manage pain, deal with difficult emotions, exercise safely, set goals, make decisions and work with health care professionals are some of the topics discussed in an interactive format with trained peer leaders. All participants receive the reference book "Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Pain" at no cost. Persons living with chronic pain and their caregivers are welcome to attend. Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre
The BC Children’s Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre provides mental health and substance use information and resources, assistance navigating the mental health system, as well as free personalised support from parent peer support workers. Services are available to families across BC and Yukon with children and youth up to age 24, by phone, email, virtual meeting, and in person at The Kelty Centre. Many online resources, educational events and webinars are also available for parents and caregivers, and school professionals. Kelty Mental Health offers: • Peer support from FamilySmart Parent Peer Support workers. • Information and resources on a wide range of mental health and substance use challenges affecting children and youth, as well as how to support your child’s mental-wellbeing. • Help navigating the mental health and substance use system.
