Heart Wise - Levels 1, 2, & 3
Heart Wise can help you transition from your formal cardiac rehabilitation program to fitness programs available in your community. It is designed for people who have suffered a heart attack, undergone heart surgery or are at risk for other heart complications.
Sessions are led by a personal trainer who will encourage regular daily exercise, incorporate warm up, cool down and self-monitoring. Instruction is done with varying, progressive levels of exercise so participants can safely and appropriately increase intensity. Physician approval is necessary. Prerequisite: Completion of a hospital healthy heart cardiac rehab program. A personal heart rate monitor is required.

Delta's new Seniors Support Coordinator, Eva, provides one-on-one assistance to seniors, including connecting seniors to community services and support. Eva works one day per week at each of Delta's three seniors recreation centres. Delta's Seniors Support Coordinator connects people 50+ to services and resources in the larger community, including information on health and wellness, housing options and government programs. |

Osteofit for Life emphasizes agility, balance, strength and posture. Participants must complete Osteofit Level 1 before registering for Osteofit for Life. |
Osteofit Level 1 is for people with osteoporosis who are at increased risk of fractures or have had one or more fractures. This program was developed by BC Women’s Hospital and Health Centre in conjunction with the Osteoporosis Society of BC. |
