
Chronic Pain Self-Management Program
The University of Victoria's Self-Management Programs are free, peer-lead, evidence-based education workshops offered throughout BC for adults experiencing ongoing physical or mental health issues. Workshops are facilitated by pairs of trained lay leaders, many living with chronic conditions themselves. Workshops are designed to enhance regular medical treatment and patient education. On-line workshops and one-on-one Health Coach is also available. Self-Management BC is funded by the Ministry of Health.

Cancer: Thriving & Surviving is a self-management program designed for people who have completed treatment and are living with or have been affected by cancer. Classes are highly participatory, where mutual support and success build the participants’ confidence in their ability to manage their health and maintain active and fulfilling lives.
